What we do
Knowledge that informs. Capacity that lasts.
We work at the intersection of journalism, media and information integrity, helping people and organisations better understand complex challenges, strengthen professional practice and turn knowledge into practical impact.
Applied Research
Research is at the core of our work. We design and deliver studies that help people and organisations understand complex media and information environments, identify emerging challenges and make evidence-informed decisions.
Our expertise covers journalism, media systems and information integrity, including media viability, press freedom, freedom of expression, governance, misinformation, digital ecosystems and public trust. Depending on the project, our work ranges from baseline studies and needs assessments to policy analysis, audience research, evaluations and applied academic research.
Every project is designed to produce knowledge that is both rigorous and useful, supporting strategy, programme design and decision-making.
Capacity Building
Strong media depend on strong professionals. We design and deliver learning experiences that combine evidence, practical newsroom experience and participatory methods to strengthen knowledge, skills and editorial decision-making.
We work with journalists, editors, media managers, students, civil society organisations and public institutions through workshops, mentoring programmes, training-of-trainers initiatives and tailored learning curricula. Whether delivered in person or online, our programmes are adapted to local contexts and built around real professional challenges.
Beyond the classroom, we aim to build confidence, critical thinking and lasting professional capacity.
Knowledge resources
Knowledge becomes valuable when it can be used. We develop practical resources that transform research, professional experience and lessons learned into accessible tools for everyday use.
Our work includes manuals, toolkits, editorial guidelines, learning materials, curricula, research publications and audiovisual content designed for journalists, educators, organisations and the general public. Every resource is developed with usability in mind, helping people apply knowledge, strengthen professional practice and support institutional learning long after a project has ended.
We create resources that remain relevant, practical and adaptable across different contexts.
